Mold transfers & reshoring

Move your injection mold to an American molder

We take over existing molds from overseas suppliers and from other U.S. molders. Transferred tools are evaluated in our company-owned tool shop and are usually in production within a couple of weeks.

Why buyers bring molding home

Shorter supply lines. Parts you can go and see.

Trucks, not ocean freight

Parts ship from Ohio or Tennessee instead of crossing an ocean.

Quality you can audit

Visit the plant, meet the team and watch your part run.

Same time zone

Your engineers and ours work the same hours, so questions don’t wait overnight.

Molded in America

Run around the clock in our U.S. plants by employee-owners.

How a transfer works

01

NDA and review

We sign your NDA, then review drawings, the part and your volumes.

Quote and press match

We match the tool to one of more than 70 all-electric presses, up to 1,800 tons and 40,000 lb tools.

03

Tool evaluation

Your mold is checked and readied in our company-owned tool shop.

04

First parts

We mold and measure first parts, including blue-light 3D scans against CAD.

Mold transfer questions

Do you take molds from other U.S. molders, or only from overseas?

Both. We take over existing tools from overseas suppliers and from other molders in the U.S.

How long until my transferred mold is running?

Usually a couple of weeks from tool arrival, after evaluation in our company-owned tool shop.

Can I visit or audit your plant first?

Yes. Buyers are welcome to visit or audit our Plain City, Ohio, plant.

What if my tool needs repair?

The evaluation finds it before production, and our tool shop can fix it. After that, we maintain the mold in-house.
